Teakwood Neighborhood
To the east and slightly north of downtown Columbus is the neighborhood of Teakwood. There are only a few single-family residences in Teakwood, on the north side of Woodward Avenue, and all of them are small, older-style homes. Brentnell Park is within the neighborhood, and Amvet Village Park forms the border to the north. The eastern half of the neighborhood is dominated by the campus of the Ohio Dominican University.

Teakwood residents who are golfers enjoy playing at the City of Columbus Champions Golf Course, Minerva Lake Golf Course, and Bridgeview Golf Course. Places for some great family fun include Skate Zone 71, Magic Mountain Fun Center, and the Fort Rapids Water Park Resort. Movie lovers can catch a flick at the Drexel Theatre, the AMC Easton Town Center 30, or the Gateway Film Center. Theater lovers enjoy visiting the Palace Theatre, Ohio Theatre, Lincoln Theatre, and the Southern Theatre.
