South Campus Apartments for Rent

The South Campus neighborhood includes a small portion of The Ohio State University complex and is made up of mostly older two story homes on small lots. Sidewalks make it pedestrian friendly and brick streets impart a certain charm. Interspersed with the older homes are new, small apartment buildings.

The South Campus neighborhood is bound by West 12th Avenue, North High Street, King Avenue and Neil Avenue.

The Oval and Ohio Union are two blocks from South Campus neighborhood. The Oval is a popular park year round, but it is especially busy during the summer months with sunbathers, dog walkers and Frisbee players.

Ohio State University Stadium was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. It is just west of the neighborhood. Jesse Owens and Jack Nicklaus are two of OSU’s most famous athletes. The Jesse Owens West Park is west and the Jesse Owens Recreation Center is north.

For soccer fans, the new Crew Stadium is just east. With a European atmosphere and 22,555 seats, it is the first stadium built for soccer in the U. S.

With more than 50,000 students attending OSU, it’s a sure bet that there are plenty of restaurants and nightlife venues close by. About two-dozen local and national restaurants can be found along North High Street.

With a great transit system, residents enjoy easy access to OSU and the greater Columbus area. The Arena District is about three miles south, along North High Street. Three professional teams play here, and it is a popular entertainment and nightlife spot, too.

Mt. Vernon Shopping Center and two Wal-Mart Supercenters are within a three-mile radius. Port Columbus International Airport is roughly three miles east.

Numerous public parks and golf courses can be found almost anywhere. The closest is Phoenix Golf Links.
