Polaris Neighborhood

The Polaris neighborhood is north of the Interstate 270 outer belt. It is the area between Worthington Galena Road on the east and Old State Road to the west that surrounds the Polaris Fashion Place Mall. The area is in the 43240 ZIP code and is within Columbus but is also in Delaware County.

The neighborhood is relatively new. The Polaris Fashion Place mall was opened in 2001, followed by many of the community’s condo and apartment developments. The town homes and condos attract buyers looking for luxury appointments and are exclusively priced. Since it is in the desirable Worthington School District, Polaris is popular with young professionals starting their families.

Thanks to the proximity to Interstate 71 and Interstate 270, residents can get anywhere in the Greater Columbus Area easily, and finding something to do is even easier. Sharon Woods Metro Park is a few miles east of Polaris and is a haven of wooded walking paths and picnic grounds in the middle of the bustling city. Downtown Columbus has a scale replica of the Santa Maria, the boat in which Christopher Columbus crossed the Atlantic. Educational programs and tours of the vessel, which floats on the Olentangy River, are available. The Center for Science and Industry has been presenting the magic and wonder of science to children in the area for nearly 100 years.

Getting to a golf course is as easy as driving in any direction. Little Bear Golf Club invites families to play together on their uniquely designed course. Minerva Lake Golf Club is open to the public and is designed with a front 10 and back 8 holes layout. Kinsale Golf and Fitness is a private club with championship golf, fitness facilities, tennis, a family pool, and banquet facilities.
