Indian Hills Neighborhood

Indian Hills is a community in northern Columbus, within Franklin County. It was developed in the early 1960s and consists of fewer than 310 single-family homes. The neighborhood is bounded by Linworth Road on the west and Olentangy River Road on the east. Highway 161 runs past the neighborhood to the north, and Highway 315 traverses the area to the east. The ZIP code for Indian Hills is 43235.

Adjacent to the neighborhood on the east is a long chain of parkland that runs along Highway 315 to the south. The closest parks in this chain include Antrim Park, Rush Run Park, and Broadmeadows Park. Miles of hiking and biking trails are one of the significant features of this parkland, but there are other amenities here as well. To the west of the highway, easily within walking distance of Indian Hills, are six tennis courts, a basketball court, soccer field, playground, two softball/baseball fields, and an entrance to the nearby trail system.

A variety of additional amenities and attractions can be found within a few miles west of the Indian Hills neighborhood. Among these is the Brookside Country Club. For those who can afford the membership, this private club offers a tree-lined, 18-hole course, as well as an Olympic-sized swimming pool, fitness facility, tennis courts, and clubhouse with dining options.

Shopping options abound to the west of Indian Hills as well. Retail centers within a few miles of home include the Plaza at Sawmill Place Shopping Center, Carriage Place Shopping Center, and Bethel Centre Shopping Center.

Also in this area is the Ohio State University Airport. The university itself can be found within five miles to the west of Indian Hills, closer to downtown Columbus.

The Indian Hills neighborhood is part of the Columbus Public School District. Schools in the immediate area include Linworth Alternative High School on Dublin Granville Road.
