The neighborhood of Westridge provides all the comforts and quiet of a rural area while being only minutes away from the city. Westridge is located just outside the Raleigh city limits, off Trenton Road. Residents of Westridge are afforded easy access to downtown Raleigh, nearby shopping centers, the airport, and the city’s major thoroughfares.
Homes in the Westridge neighborhood have all been built within the past ten years. Exteriors are brick and stone, and interiors are designed to accommodate the needs of growing families. Most home have two or three bathrooms, three or four bedrooms, and multi-car garages. The houses sit back from the street on spacious, private lots.
While there are no schools located in the neighborhood, several schools lie just outside the neighborhood’s boundaries.
Westridge is quite close to the William B. Umsted State Park. Along with numerous hiking and biking trails, residents can enjoy camping, picnicking, and boating. There are educational programs for children offered all year long.
The Carl Alwin Schenek Memorial Forest is located on the opposite side of Westridge from the state park. Activities of all kinds are available in this location, such as hiking, biking, and birdwatching.
Westridge offers residents the peace and quiet of a rural setting without being too far removed from the city. Although there are no restaurants or coffee shops in the neighborhood, numerous options are just outside the neighborhood’s bounds.
