Located north of Downtown Raleigh, Honeycutt Ridge is a subdivision situated in zip code 27614. Nearby major thoroughfares include Falls of the Neuse Road and Capital Boulevard/US-1 on the east, Six Forks Road on the west, Durham Road/route 98 to the north, and I-540 and Durant Road to the south.
Honeycutt Ridge is a wooded area and is comprised of one street, Peakton Drive, which ends in a cul-de-sac. It joins Honeycutt Road on its western border. Brassfield Road is south of the subdivision. There are no sidewalks within the subdivision; however, there is a sidewalk along part of Honeycutt and Brassfield, both leading to Brassfield Elementary School, which also has walkways.

Also, north of Honeycutt Ridge, is Falls Lake State Recreation Area, which includes fishing, boating, swimming, camping, and hiking and mountain bike trails. Both parks are located on Falls Lake. William B. Umstead State Park is located southwest of Honeycutt Ridge and features picnicking, fishing, boating, hiking, camping, horseback riding, and nature programs.
Next to Umstead Park is Raleigh Durham International Airport.
For shopping, dining, and entertainment, there are several shopping areas nearby. Falls Pointe Shopping Center, at Durant and Falls of the Neuse Roads, includes a Kohl’s Department Store and Harris Teeter supermarket. Also, south on Six Forks Road at Strickland Road and south of I-540, is Six Forks Station shopping center with a Home Depot, Six Forks Cinema, and Millions Pizza and Pasta.
