Fairview Hills Apartments for Rent

Fairview Hills is a well-established community loaded with character and various housing options. The community spans out in a Y shape across part of Jones Franklin Road and Athens Drive. At the intersection of the Y (where Athens Drive ends at Jones Franklin) is the Jack Daniels Grocery and Deli. The deli is highly rated and quite popular in the community. The little landmark store has been around for decades and still has old fashioned gas pumps, even though they have recently stopped selling gas.

The Fairview Hills community is composed of a variety of single-family homes, town homes and duplexes. Due to Raleigh’s rising popularity, a few of the single-family homes have been converted into multi-unit rental properties. College students find the community is convenient to North Carolina State University, but just far away enough from campus to avoid the louder “party zones.” Athens Drive High School is very close, so there are still a lot of growing families in the neighborhood.

Just outside of Fairview Hills, the Plaza West Shopping Center is still within walking distance for many residents. The shopping center covers the basic necessities, such as fast food restaurants, dry cleaners, and a grocery store. However, Plaza West also has an eclectic offering of service providers – a bar, florist, pawn shop, gym, and tattoo parlor, to name a few. Residents can also cross Western Boulevard for a car wash, coin laundry, and hair salon.

Just a little farther away are the North Carolina State fairgrounds. Traveling toward downtown Raleigh on either Western Boulevard or Hillsborough Street will provide a wide variety of restaurant and entertainment options. In the opposite direction, Fairview Hills residents will find that Research Triangle Park and Durham, North Carolina are a short commute away.
