Also to the West is William B. Umstead State Park, which boasts three lakes for boating and fishing, miles of walking and biking trails, and plenty or space to enjoy nature. Rental pavilions and canoes are available, and there are horseback trails and plenty of picnic areas. The park also offers many educational programs for people of all ages, depending on the season.
