A short drive away is Wake Forest University. Known for its research labs and outstanding faculty, Wake Forest offers quite a few degree options and an athletic department linked to many championships.
A popular attraction close to the neighborhood is the Historic Reynolda House, now an art museum. The house originally was owned by Richard Joshua Reynolds, founder of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, and his wife. Some of the best exhibitions and collections in the South reside at Reynolda House.
