Visitors to the center can tour the Edgerton Model Railroad Room. The center also houses the historical Stardust Ballroom. The recreation center sits on the grounds of Edgerton Park. Here residents enjoy an extensive list of activities including numerous ball fields, tennis courts, walking trails, picnic tables, a playground and a summertime spray park. Bordering Edgerton on the east side is the beautiful Genesee River. Access to the Genesee Riverway Trail is within walking distance of the neighborhood. The scenic Rochester trail extends from south Rochester north to Lake Ontario and is a favorite among hikers and bikers.

Residents enjoy shopping, dining and exciting nightlife in Downtown Rochester, just two miles southeast of the neighborhood. The nearby Eastview Mall is a local favorite offering visitors a multitude of shops, restaurants and even a movie theater.
