North Albany – Shaker Park is a neighborhood in northern Albany, about two miles from the heart of the downtown area. This community is located north of Interstate 90, east of U.S. Highway 9 and south of Lawn Avenue. Railroad tracks and Interstate 787 run roughly parallel past the neighborhood on the east. The North Albany – Shaker Park neighborhood has an Irish past and is considered a tightly-knit community. This primarily residential neighborhood consists mostly of single-family homes and duplexes. A YMCA has recently been constructed within neighborhood bounds, along North Pearl Street.

Situated on 84 acres, the park is a natural oasis in the middle of the city and offers many amenities, including a stocked pond, lake house amphitheater, tennis courts, bike paths, and children’s play area.

North Pearl Street offers a direct route into downtown Albany, which is just over five minutes away.
