Situated on 84 acres, the park is a natural oasis in the middle of the city and offers many amenities, including a stocked pond, lake house amphitheater, tennis courts, bike paths, and children’s play area.
Residents of Shaker Park enjoy easy access to major area roadways, but this isn’t the neighborhood’s only benefit. North Pearl Street offers a direct route into downtown Albany, which is just over five minutes away. Amenities and attractions in the downtown area include the Albany Medical Center, the state capitol and the New York State Museum. Higher education options near downtown Albany include The College of St. Rose, SUNY Albany Downtown Campus and The Sage Colleges – Albany Campus.
