Surrounded by the grandeur of mountains and the daily breathtaking view of them, Foothills is a neighborhood that has a very pleasant atmosphere. The community itself is also lovely with its well-maintained landscape.
Heritage Park provides the community with recreational activities for all ages. The park has a botanical garden, tennis courts, bocce ball courts, miles of trails for walking, volleyball courts, and splash pads which are rubber surfaced and allow water to shoot up from the ground. These are great for cooling off on hot summer days. Heritage Park has the largest dog park in the city and a full-service library.
Heritage Park Aquatic Complex has two indoor pools. One pool is a competitive lap pool and the other is a warm water pool that includes everything needed for instructional and therapeutic water activities.
The City of Henderson Park Senior Facility is another appealing facet of the community. The facility is a very nice place with a variety of programs including arts and crafts, cooking classes, exercise and dance, social services, wellness services, and much more all for people of age fifty and over.
Community College of Southern Nevada, Henderson campus is less than three minutes from the neighborhood, and high school students can attend Foothills High School.
The residents of Foothills are approximately twenty minutes away from the fabulous Las Vegas Strip. Along with the dazzling lights and sounds, fascinating sites, and the delicious food, the strip has entertaining clubs, live shows, slot machines, and poker and black jack games.
Lake Mead offers the community daily cruises on a paddle wheel vessel called the Desert Princess.
Living quarters in the community are in demand due to the pleasant scenery, neighborhood recreation, and proximity to the Las Vegas Strip and Lake Mead.
