Timber Valley Apartments for Rent
Trees engulf many of the homes that line the winding roads of Timber Valley. This child-friendly Kansas City neighborhood is near several lakes and two elementary schools, and is home to two churches, a grocery store, and a Mexican restaurant. Little Blue Road serves as the southern border of Timber Valley, which stretches to East 62 Terrace in the north and spans from Marion Avenue in the east to Woodson Road in the west.
Cool blue waters, nature, and water sports are available a short drive to the south at Shady Lake, Wildwood Lakes, and Flacey’s Lake. Camping is available at Wildwood Lakes, which is near a mini-golf course and a petting zoo. Shady Lake is a reservoir located just off of Woodson Road. Campers and fishermen enjoy Flacey’s Lake a short distance to the east.
Elementary schools border Timber Valley on two sides, so schoolchildren never travel far for their education. Robinson Elementary School, located a quick jaunt south on Woodson Road, educates more than 400 students aged kindergarten through fifth grade, and offers areas for many athletic activities, including baseball and basketball. To the immediate northeast is Norfleet Elementary School.
Timber Valley hosts two houses of worship. Enjoy the enthusiastic “blue-jeans atmosphere” at the unique River Christian Fellowship Church on the west side of the neighborhood. Farther south is Ivanhoe United Church of Christ, which was founded in in 1895.
It’s not hard to relax and take a load off in this easygoing neighborhood.
