The Downtown area of Kansas City, Missouri, has become an en vogue place to live. Small parks, like Arbor Villa, are spread around the downtown area, giving residents and visitors a place for respite. Since 2002, the Downtown Community Improvement District Ambassadors have been working to make the downtown Kansas City neighborhood a better place to live and to work. Apartment living in the downtown area is unique. Old buildings have been renovated and turned into lofts. New apartments, lofts, and condos have been popping up all over the downtown area. While there are not many grocery stores downtown, residents have access to Missouri’s Best Farmers’ Market just north of downtown. On Wednesdays and weekends, buyers have access to various types of fresh produce, natural products, and fresh flowers.
Residents now have urgent medical care in the heart of downtown. The center offers board-certified physicians who provide walk-in services.
