Tampa Park is a primarily residential Atlanta neighborhood. It’s just off the freeway, Interstate 285. Most of the homes in Tampa Park are single-family, detached units of varying styles, including Georgian and antebellium-inspired homes. There are also apartment buildings and attached homes.

Tampa Bark is bordered by Greenbriar Parkway Southwest, Interstate 285, Fairburn Road Southwest, and a series of smaller, local streets, such as Darrah Drive Southwest, Narron Drive Southwest, and Kathryn Drive Southwest.

Deerwood Park is located in the neighborhood. It offers a playground, picnic tables, a ball field, and open parkland. It also popular with dog walkers and joggers. The North Camp Creek Parkway Nature Preserve is to the southeast of Tampa Bay.

Several museums and art galleries are not far from Tampa Park and area easily accessibly by car or public transportation. The Delta Heritage Museum and the Teaching Museum of the South are east of the neighborhood, while Wren’s Nest House Museum and the High Museum of Art are northeasst of the Tampa Park community.

The Salvation Army Museum of the South, which showcases the legacy of the organization and other important aspects of its work in the south, is northeast of the neighborhood. Two offbeat museums, the World of Coca Cola and Imagine It! The Children’s Museum of Atlanta, are to the northeast of Tampa Bay as well.

The Greenbriar Mall is within walking distance of the eastern section of the Tampa Bay neighborhood. It has such popular stores as Macy’s and a food court. The Ben Hill Plaza Shopping Center is only a half-mile north of Tampa Bay as well.
