The Sterling Village neighborhood in West Palm Beach, Florida is situated just off of I-95 on Florida’s Space Coast. Schools in the area that Sterling Village students attend include Hope Centennial Elementary, Seminole Trails Elementary, and Cardinal Newman High School. Northwood Institute-Florida Education Center is located here, a private university offering various BBA degrees as well as graduate programs.
Crosstown Plaza, Palm Gate Plaza, Paradise Place, Westward Shopping Center, Okee Square, and Pine Trail Shopping Center are just a few of the one-stop shopping destinations available. There are multiple stand-alone shopping and dining venues along Okeechobee Boulevard. Some popular stores here include Sports Authority, Pet Smart, and Staples. Some of the popular dining options include Aleyda’s Mexican, Nick’s 50s Diner, and Okeechobee Steak House. Unfortunately, Palm Beach Mall closed in early 2010; this was the first fully enclosed, climate-controlled mall in Florida. There are still a couple of stores that remain here; however, developers are working on bringing in some additional big box retailers to the area such as IKEA and Bass Pro Shops.
Numerous golf courses are available in the area for the golf lover to enjoy. Bear Lakes Country Club, said to be one of the finest private clubs in the U.S., features two signature Jack Nicklaus designed courses. Tennis is also popular at the club and the dining and theme nights are popular with members. President Country Club, Greenbrier Golf Course, and Cypress Lakes Golf Course are all easily accessible.
