Visitors will enjoy an occasional spotting of an endangered wood stork.

Another great outdoor recreational resource for the Timberlake community is nearby Tom Brown Park. This popular green space contains baseball diamonds, soccer fields, a Frisbee golf course, a BMX bike track, picnic facilities, and a playground area. Multi-use trails from the park connect it with the Lafayette Heritage Trail Park via the shoreline of Lake Lafayette.
