Wooded Glen is just off of Interstate 10 in north Pensacola, Florida. The neighborhood begins at Le Grand Drive and runs along Wood Stream Drive until it ends in a court.

The neighborhood is residential and family-friendly. The street is used mainly by local traffic because of its dead end. The subdivision was built in the last 30 years, but many of the trees are older than the homes and provide for shade for walks during the Florida afternoons. It’s not uncommon in the area to see joggers, kids playing outdoors, or families out for an afternoon stroll.

Getting around the Greater Pensacola Area is easy from Wooded Glen. The community’s proximity to Interstate 10 allows for an easy commute to downtown, school, or even to Mobile, Alabama. The arterial roads that run near the neighborhood provide easy access to the Gulf Coast.

Pensacola Beach has miles of snow white beaches, kayaking, fishing, scuba diving, as well as shopping and nightlife. The Gulf Islands National Seashore is a collection of beaches and islands that offers camping, fishing, Civil War monuments, and wildlife viewing. The Escambia River Wildlife Management Area comprises 34,000 acres of preserve along the Escambia River and offers fishing, primitive camping, and bird watching.

The Gulf Coast is home to several nationally known golf courses. Scenic Hills Country Club is so far the only course in Florida to host a U. S. Open. It’s open for public play and features an 18-hole course as well as fine dining and entertainment. Nearby Osceola Municipal Golf Course is another course that attracts local golfers and tourists.
