Wentworths Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Wentworths neighborhood is made up of small older homes, some mobile homes, and light commercial establishments. It lies between Pensacola Boulevard and North Palafox Street in zip code 32534, a very convenient area for shopping, dining, entertainment, and recreation. For the residents of Wentworths, all of these are within walking distance.
For example, there is an outdoor sporting goods store a few blocks west. That’s really handy for those who enjoy fishing and hunting because Pensacola has plenty of both. Just east is Escambia Bay, and the Escambia River Wildlife Management Area.
ERWMA is the watershed for a half-dozen spring fed rivers, offering thousands of acres for fishing and boating. In-season hunting is allowed here as well. The area is also popular for tubing and canoeing. The clear, shallow waters and sandy river bottoms create ideal swimming areas.
Fishing is also quite popular on Pensacola Pier. The 1,471-foot pier spans two sand bars and the emerald green water. It’s a good place for wildlife viewing or just hanging out. Located on the world-famous white sand beaches, it’s a lively area. During the warm months, many enjoy the Bands on the Beach concerts.
There are a number of museums and state parks along the waterfront. With four historic forts, a lighthouse, Santa Rosa National Seashore, and three state parks, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the area’s natural wonders and colorful history. Pensacola Naval Complex and associated National Naval Museum are top tourist attractions. This is the home of the Blue Angels, and residents enjoy watching them practice.
Pensacola has a good selection of educational institutions, too. With five serving the city, the most convenient for Wentworths residents may be Pensacola Junior College and the University of West Florida.
