Twelve Oaks is a small neighborhood of small to medium-sized ranch homes. It is located to the north and slightly west of downtown Pensacola, Florida, convenient to Interstate 110 to the east. Bordering Twelve Oaks to the east is the campus of the Pensacola Christian College. Pensacola Regional Airport is also nearby to the east.

Also to the east are the campuses of Pensacola State College, Pensacola Junior College and the Creative Learning Academy. All in all, graduates of the Creative Learning Academy have done exceptionally well in its high school advanced placement program. Their alumni include many successful politicians, attorneys, actors, sportscasters, opera singers and Broadway stars.

The Tuscan Oven is a Pizzeria that features a 2-ton hardwood-fired brick oven that was specially made in Italy. Their dining area has an outdoor patio where customers can enjoy their wood-fired pizzas with a bottle of imported or domestic wine.

Golf courses in the area include the Osceola Municipal Golf Course, Marcus Pointe Golf Club and the Scenic Hills Country Club — a past host of a U.S. Open Championship.

Places to catch a first-run movie include Rave Motion Pictures Bayou 15, and the highly regarded Silver Screen Theatre.

There are no less than four U.S. Navy bases in the Pensacola area. Corry Station is the Navy Technical Training Center; Saufley Field is used by Navy Aviators for practice landings and take-offs; Whiting Field is the busiest Naval Air Station in the world; the Naval Air Station Pensacola is the home of the Blue Angels.
