Seville Square, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, is a center of historic discovery and host of many popular local events, including the Oyster Festival and a concert series. Historic Pensacola Village features the state historical museum, two smaller museums devoted to commerce and industry, historic homes, and a historic church.

The historic district is also the arts district, where the Pensacola Symphony presents both its Masterworks and Pops concert series. The Pensacola Museum of Art offers comprehensive exhibits, summer workshops, and a lecture series.

Santa Rosa Island and the National Seashore are home to parks, historic forts, and Pensacola Lighthouse, with programs and events year-round.
