Stokes Apartments for Rent
The Stokes neighborhood is home to mostly small ranch homes set on small lots. It is a pedestrian-friendly area with sidewalks and quiet cul-de-sacs. If location is everything, then Stokes definitely has it all. It is within walking distance of Pensacola Junior College and Cordova Mall, following Tippin Avenue south. This is also a popular dining and entertainment district. Two miles east, along I-10, is Escambia Bay and the vast watersheds, rivers, and protected areas that go for miles.
Stokes is bound by Tippin Avenue along the east and Fairchild Street along the south. The neighborhood can be accessed only via Dunmire Street. It falls in zip code 32504.
The neighborhood is well-situated for residents to enjoy the many attractions and recreational facilities all around Pensacola. Baseball fans can take in a game at Pelican Park, just north on the University of West Florida campus. The minor league Pensacola Pelicans play here.
Horse and dog lovers have access to two great facilities, one just a few miles south. Bayou Texar dog park provides canines with their own beach and swimming area. A bit west is the 178-acre Equestrian Center, which features an indoor arena, stables and barns, outdoor rings, and RV hookups. The center hosts horse and dog shows, and the American Kennel Club named it one of the best facilities in the Southeast.
History lovers will find plenty of places where they can explore Pensacola’s long history. Four historic forts along the Gulf and a historic lighthouse are just the beginning. A multi-block area of downtown features historic homes and sites, such as Plaza Ferdinand VII. There are several museums here as well.
Those who love the arts and culture will appreciate the Pensacola Symphony, a great art museum, and year-round festivals.
