Talquin Avenue is the southern border of Somerset, while Marcus Pointe Boulevard and several smaller streets mark its northern border. Crescent Lake serves as the community’s eastern border. Somerset Drive is its western border.

Somerset is conveniently located near several major commercial areas. Bellview Shopping Center is just over a mile to the west. Fast-food eateries and a Winn Dixie grocery are close by. Franklin Antique Mall & Flea Market, which is nearly two miles west, offers a wild array of secondhand goods and antiques.
