The spacious homes of Scenic Hills overlook large, lushly landscaped lawns. This neighborhood is one of the closest to the bluffs overlooking Escambia Bay. The Scenic Highway and Creighton Road form the neighborhood’s main boundaries.
Nearby parks include Baywood Park, a great walking spot in the neighborhood’s northwest corner, and Belvedere Park, which offers a basketball court and a playground. Close by is Lavallet Park, which also has a playground and walking trails.
Not far from Scenic Hills is a large retail and entertainment district. Cordova Mall offers two Dillard’s department stores, upscale stores like Coldwater Creek, and specialty stores. The area around the mall has a bowling center, a large movie complex, many restaurants, a Target, and other national retailers.

Gulf beaches and historic sites offer almost endless recreational options, and often these come together. Fort Pickens, part of the Gulf Islands Seashore, is one of four forts along the Gulf. Explore the 1829 fort then hike the trails, camp, fish or swim. Visit the Pensacola Lighthouse and take in the Light of the Moon tour.
Fishermen enjoy plenty of access to the bays and Gulf, and boat launches lie at the north end of Escambia Bay. The 1,471-foot Pensacola Beach Gulf Fishing Pier is an exceptional facility for fishing and wildlife viewing, and charter services provide access to Gulf waters.
One of the city’s best-known attractions, the Blue Angels, can be seen practicing over the waters of Pensacola Bay. Pensacola is home to Pensacola Naval Complex and Saufley Field.
