Ridgegate is a minuscule Pensacola community within the 32504 zip code. It encompasses Ridgegate Circle, its namesake, and it’s just off Langley Avenue. The small neighborhood is entirely residential and primarily comprised of single-family, detached homes of various styles.
The community of Ridgegate is near many of Pensacola’s most popular attractions. Escambia Bay, with its many attractions and opportunities for fun, is only about three miles east of the neighborhood. The famed Escambia Bay Marine Institute is only about seven miles southwest of the community.
Parents looking to move to Ridgegate are often impressed by the plentiful, high achieving schools in the area for all grade levels. Washington Senior High School and J. H. Workman Middle School are within easy walking distance of anywhere in the neighborhood; both schools are less than a quarter-mile from the community’s center. Reinherdt Holm Elementary School, renowned for its excellent special education program, is also about a quarter-mile away, while Kinder World is only a half-mile east of Ridgegate.
There are also great colleges and universities for older students. Pensacola State College, which is known for providing a good education for a sound price, is only approximately a half-mile southeast of Ridgegate. Pensacola Junior College, The University of Florida College of Medicine and the Academy of Nail Sculpting are vastly different schools of continuing education, yet they are all within a one-mile radius of Ridgegate.
Cultural attractions near Ridgegate only begin in the classroom, though. The Anna Lamar Switzer Gallery is a half-mile south of the neighborhood. The Pensacola Museum of Art is a little over five miles south of the community. Old Christ Church, a historical Pensacola landmark, is only about five and half miles south of Ridgegate.
