Ridgefield Four Apartments for Rent
Homes in the Ridgefield Four neighborhood are definitely up-scale, mostly sprawling ranch homes, on large, well-landscaped lawns. The neighborhood feels spacious and serene, yet it is very close to some of Pensacola’s best scenery, attractions, and conveniences. It lies between East Johnson Road and East Olive Road, in zip code 32514.
There are a number of restaurants, both national fast-food and local establishments, within a mile or so. Most are clustered near West Florida Hospital and University Town Center with a few along Scenic Drive.
The proximity to Scenic Drive may be what sets this neighborhood apart. A 10 minute walk allows residents of Ridgefield Four to stand on the bluffs overlooking Escambia Bay. This is one of the highest points in the state and the view is magnificent.
Follow the Scenic Drive in either direction and arrive at some of the area’s top recreation spots. Escambia Bay is especially prized by boaters, and a number of boat ramps make it easy to launch and be on the water for a day of fishing or cruising. The closest is Swamphouse Marina and Landing on North Davis Highway.
Those who prefer salt water will find launches at Perdido Key, Fort Pickens, and the state park at Navarre Beach. A boat rental company near Navarre Beach rents jet skis and sailboats.
Pensacola offers plenty of historical and cultural sites and events as well. The Pensacola Museum of Art, in the historic district, provides a great summer youth camp and Saturday workshops. The lecture series adds an adult education component, and the annual Art in the Park festival brings juried artists.
A number of malls and retail areas are nearby, including Cordova Mall, which many consider to be Pensacola’s finest. The University of West Florida and Pensacola Junior College are quite close.
