Ridge Place Apartments for Rent
The ranch homes of the Ridge Place neighborhood sit on neat, well-tended lawns. Giant oak trees tower over the neighborhood. The quiet cul-de-sac street would be a good place for a morning walk, especially when the azaleas are in full bloom. Ridge Place is bound to the east by Chemstrand Road and accessed only by Greenbridge Drive.
While Ridge Place feels secluded, a good selection of retail and dining establishments are within walking distance. For example, Carmike 10 Theaters, Kmart, CVS Pharmacy, and several national and locally known restaurants are less than a half mile away. Drummond Park also lies just east, about one-quarter of a mile.
Major shopping and recreation centers are also close by, including The Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Wal-Mart Supercenter. Pensacourt, one of Pensacola’s most comprehensive fitness centers, is in this area. The neighborhood lies just south of a main thoroughfare, East 9 Mile Road in zip code 32514.
For a varied recreational experience, Fort Pickens, where Chief Geronimo was once held captive, is a good site. It is one of Pensacola’s oldest forts and there is a state park here. It also provides boat launches for both power craft and canoes and kayaks. And the brackish lake is a rare place, where fresh and salt water combine, within view of the Gulf of Mexico.
Another interesting spot is Bayou Texar. A bit closer to Ridge Place, it also has a boat ramp. But its big attraction is the dog park – where dogs have their own beach and swimming area – and a shower facility before heading home!
Pensacola is rich in cultural attractions, too. The famed Festival Series provides great variety for residents year round. Favorites are Mardi Gras in February, Bands on the Beach all summer, November’s Great Gulf Coast Art Festival, one of the southeast’s best.
