Surrounded by thick landscaping and tall trees, the small neighborhood of New Hope Landing sits in the northeastern section of Pensacola, Florida. This community was developed in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and is defined by brick houses that are primarily ranch and two-story styles, some with screened-in pools in the backyards. New Hope Landing is in zip code 32504 and was built on Whiteleaf Court and Whiteleaf Circle off Spanish Trail Road.
New Hope Landing is in the Ecambia County School District. Children who live in the neighborhood attend Cordova Park Elementary School, Workman Middle School and Washington High School. Pensacola is home to many private religious schools, most notably Pensacola Christian Academy, which is a 15-minute from the community. St. Paul Catholic School, which serves students in pre-K to eighth grade and East Hill Christian School, which offers both an elementary and a high school, are nearby.
The neighborhood is between the Pensacola Regional Airport and Escambia Bay. Some of the city’s best shopping and healthcare facilities are within a few miles’ drive. Cordova Mall and University Mall, Pensacola’s biggest indoor shopping centers, are near the airport. The Sacred Heart Health System Hospital, which has the region’s only children’s hospital, also is in the area.
Several parks along Escambia Bay are within walking distance. Dunwoody Park has a playground and covered picnic area, and Lavellet Park has shaded walking trails. Residents can drive to the nearest beach in approximately one-half hour. The Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier, the longest pier in the Gulf of Mexico, is a popular place from which to watch sunsets over the ocean and catch fish such as Spanish mackerel, mahi mahi and flounder. The beaches are known for their white sand and clear water.
