Located south of Gulf Beach Highway, west of South Navy Boulevard, and east of County Road 297, the Navy Point neighborhood lies due north of the Bayou Grande and east of Pensacola Bay. Tarklin Bayou Preserve State Park, southwest of the Florida community, is a mecca for area wildlife, including snapping turtles, alligators, and egrets and other shore birds. The park is the habitat of hundreds of endangered or rare plants, including the white-top pitcher plant, a carnivorous plant known only to the region. The boardwalk in the park leads out to the Tarklin Bayou and spectacular views.

Golfers in the Navy Point community routinely visit the Osceola Municipal Golf Course, located directly north. The 18-hole course has been a hub for golfers since 1926.

Families also enjoy spending time at Bonifay Watersports and Speedy John’s Go-Carts on the Pensacola Beach. This family fun site offers parasailing, go-kart racing activities and a palm-lined miniature golf course.

Radical Rides on the Pensacola Beach supplies fun in the way of Jet Skiing and parasailing. The facility has two- and three-seat models of Waverunner watercraft for rent. Families also like visiting Fort Pickens, which was used to jail chief Geronimo. The fort is free to visitors, and is located close to campgrounds.

Residents who visit the Pensacola Beach area frequently enjoy a wealth of area restaurants, including Flounder’s Chowder House, Skopelos on the Bay Seafood and Steak Restaurant, and Billy Bob’s Beach Barbecue.

Community theater has a strong presence in the area. Locals regularly attend performances at the Pensacola Little Theatre and Loblolly Theatre Company.
