Hitzman also provides athletic fields and rest facilities.

Located in the 32504 zip code area of Escambia County, public schools in the vicinity of Kensington include Scenic Heights Elementary, J.H. Workman Middle and Washington High School.

There are a variety of shopping, entertainment and dining venues surrounding Kensington. The Cordova Mall is just southwest near the college and University Mall is only a couple miles to the northwest. The area surrounding the college has a high concentration of small businesses, restaurants and larger chain stores. Popular family entertainment within the area includes Fast Eddies Fun Center, Chuck E. Cheese’s, Cordova Lanes Bowling Center and Dreamland Skate Center.

Residents of Kensington can enjoy a host of water activities on Escambia Bay including fishing, boating and canoeing. Downtown Pensacola is less than 6 miles to the south. Historic Downtown offers various museums and specialty shops.
