Deuna Park Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Only one block wide and barely three blocks long, the Duena Park neighborhood offers a relaxed rural lifestyle near the center of West Pensacola, Florida. De Luna Drive makes a lazy arc around the neighborhood’s northern and eastern edges. Janet Street, Linda Street, and a couple of cul-de-sacs make up the rest. Homes are individually-designed, resting on irregularly-shaped home sites that are framed by large, wooded lawns. Most are single-family homes but there are a few duplexes in the mix. To the east is a large plot of undeveloped forest; the rest of the area is filled with more homes surrounded by even more trees.
The Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church takes up part of the northwest corner of the neighborhood. Nearby schools include West Pensacola Elementary and the private Small World Kindergarten. Escambia High School lies a bit farther north near Meadowbrook Park, a three-acre open space that offers covered picnic tables, a colorful playground and grassy areas. A little farther north is the Osceola Municipal Golf Course, a fixture in this part of Florida since 1926. The club offers memberships and public play, and encourages younger golfers with a reduced, under-18 rate. Two miles from this venue are Marcus Point Golf Course and one of Pensacola’s prime fishing spots, Crescent Lake.
West Jackson Street is the southern connector for De Luna Drive. Heading east on this roadway leads to downtown Pensacola, where the street intersects with North Pace Boulevard. This street ends at the Pensacola Yacht Club and the Oar House Restaurant, a locally-owned waterfront eatery.
Warrington Village and Southgate are the closest shopping centers.
