Many locals escape to nearby Macky Bay on Florida’s hot summer days. Macky Bay, part of the larger Escambia Bay, offers water recreation such as skiing, boating, fishing and swimming.

Golf lovers here enjoy Scenic Hills Country Club, located just minutes to the northwest of Colonial Terrace. This 18-hole public course is the only course in Florida to have hosted a U.S. Open.
