The centrally situated Cobbs neighborhood is in the 32505 zip code of Pensacola, Florida. Its tree-lined streets and homes on established lots are south of Jackson Street, between Galvez Garden and Jackson Heights.

Pensacola is more than a bay city with a large Naval complex and a Regional Airport. It is a city with abundant outdoor recreational facilities close to its varied residential neighborhood.

Residents living in the Cobbs community are minutes from service businesses, places to eat, and New Warrington Road. The Corry Field Shopping Center is south of Cobbs and has restaurants and a bowling alley. Down the street from the plaza is a business that has served the area since 1958. Goofy Golf of Pensacola opened its doors more than 50 years ago and is still providing family fun with two 18-hole miniature golf courses, batting cages, and an arcade.

With more than 70 parks in Pensacola, residential neighborhoods like Cobbs are close to several recreational options. The Bill Gregory Park is off County Road 453 and has fields for both baseball and softball. Kiwanis Park also has ball fields and a playground for younger children. The nine-acre Legion Field is on West Gregory, about 2.5 miles from Cobbs. In addition to its picnic shelter, walking trail, and playground, it has fields for multiple sports. Facilities are available for basketball, baseball, football, and soccer.

The Fricker Community Center is east of the neighborhood. It has a gymnasium and a fitness center with weight-lifting equipment. The center also has a computer lab, game room, and space for meetings. The Baptist Hospital is about six blocks north of the community center. This hospital offers residents state-of-the-art health services, including robotic surgery and digital mammography.
