Bridgewood is very close to University Mall. This is the biggest mall in the city of Pensacola and is utilized by many of its residents for all their shopping needs. University Mall has four major department stores that make up its base, Nordstrom’s, JC Penny’s, Macy’s and Sears. Within the mall are several smaller stores such as Abercrombie, Things Remembered, Best Buy and Victoria’s Secret. There are also many boutique-type stores throughout the mall.

The Bridgewood neighborhood is served by the AK Suter Elementary School, a small neighborhood school serving upwards of 330 students. This sub-division is also only two miles from Pensacola Junior College and five miles from the University of West Florida.

This sub-division also provides easy access to Ashton Broshaham Park which is only five miles away and offers 10 soccer fields, softball fields as well as picnic areas, hiking trails and a covered pavilion. Bridgewood is twenty-five minutes from the Atlantic Ocean. There are a few beach options for residents here. Lavallett Park is one spot where residents will go to relax on the weekends. This park has a wonderful beach and picnic area for residents to enjoy.
