The Bellview Acres neighborhood is set in an open area with large lawns. The community has a rural appeal, but it sits close to everyday conveniences and Pensacola’s many attractions. Bellview Acres homes are about 12 miles from one of Pensacola’s most famous sites, the Pensacola Naval Complex. The complex plays home to the Blue Angels, the National Museum of Naval Aviation, and the Pensacola Naval Air Station Historic District. Fort Barrancas occupies the grounds as well.
A small retail area is about two miles away, Bellview Shopping Center. There are two grocery stores here and a variety of fast-food and casual dining establishments. A Walmart Supercenter is about five miles south of the neighborhood.
There are several golf courses nearby, with Osceola Municipal Golf Course and Marcus Pointe Golf Course being the closest. The Green Meadows Par Three Course is also convenient on West Michigan Avenue.
Pensacola offers a year-round events and festivals calendar, which provides residents with a variety of entertainment. In addition to holiday celebrations like Mardi Gras and the Fourth of July, there are celebrations of area food like the Pensacola Crawfish Creole Festival. Further, the city’s long history is celebrated with the Fiesta of Five Flags. The Bushwacker Music Festival draws thousands to the area, and jazz, blues, and reggae concerts are held throughout the year.
The Gulf of Mexico and the prized, white-sand beaches are popular recreation sites among locals. Gulf beaches offer boardwalks, outdoor restaurants, and bars. The fishing pier here extends far into the water. A number of historic sites and forts along the Gulf also provide opportunities for recreation.
