Belle Meade Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Belle Meade is an established Pensacola neighborhood where massive oak trees spread across large, open lawns. Small, single-family homes have an established, comfortable feeling.
Belle Meade is convenient to many of Pensacola’s best-known and most desirable sites. Located near the intersection of I-10 and I-110, the boundaries of the community are Duchess Road and Monarch Lane.
Great recreational areas in the neighborhood include Bayou Texar, with an 11-mile trail through scenic and historic spots. With great views of Pensacola Bay, the trail received Florida Scenic Byway status. Bayou Texar also has a one-acre dog park with its own beach. There is a boat launch in the six-acre park.
On the waterfront is old Pensacola’s historic district, Seville Square, and the T. T. Wentworth Jr. Museum. This multi-block district, with small museums and historic homes, is a favorite of Belle Meade residents. Small art galleries and eateries are there as well.
The famous white sand beaches of Pensacola and Santa Rosa Island are less than a half-hour drive from Belle Meade. With an expansive national seashore and many historic forts, it is the city’s playground.
Golfers will appreciate the convenience and abundance of surrounding courses. Marcus Pointe Golf Course is a good neighborhood public course, and Osceola Municipal Course is located at Tonawanda Drive. The Naval Air Station, just south, has four private courses.
Shoppers appreciate Cordova Mall, one of the city’s finest. A Target store, Home Depot, casual dining, and a huge cinema complex are in the Cordova Mall area.
Residents also have two higher educational institutions nearby. Pensacola Junior College offers associate’s degrees and technical certificates. PJC’s Lyceum series provides great performances. The University of West Florida is only a few miles north of Belle Meade.
