Most of the homes of Bay Village, a community within the popular town of Pensacola, Florida are spacious duplexes. Bay Village is a pedestrian-friendly neighborhood, offering large shade trees and sidewalks. It’s also an easy walk to nearby parks and other amenities. Bay Village is bound by Spanish Trail Road and Creighton Road.

Within a few blocks are three parks. Belvedere and Woodcliff parks offerh basketball courts and playgrounds while Baywood offers a quiet place to walk or jog. It is only one mile to Hitzman Optimist Park and the YMCA located there. Several eateries are within blocks of home. Many more, including a large variety of national casual dining restaurants, are located near Cordova Mall. Cordova is the city’s most comprehensive mall, anchored by several nationally-recognized department stores, including two Dillard’s stores. A bowling center and movie complex are located in the mall area as well.

Students will find Bay Village equally convenient to Pensacola State College, which offers two- and four-year degrees, and Pensacola Junior College. It isn’t far to the University of West Florida, which awards both undergraduate and graduate degrees.

The natural and historic features of Pensacola, along with its lively events and festivals schedule, give the community many worthwhile yet affordable opportunities to play, explore, and learn. From Mardi Gras and the 4th of July to the Pelican Drop on New Year’s Eve, Pensacola holds festivals almost every month to celebrate the region’s food and musical heritage.

The fishing pier on the bay is always open. In addition to fishing, the pier is a good place to take in the scenery and observe wildlife. There is another fishing pier at Pensacola Beach for fishing the Gulf waters. Many of the city’s oldest and most famous historic sites are along the Gulf. Forts Pickens and Fort Barrancas tell the stories of the past, including the Revolutionary and Civil War.
