The Bay Oaks neighborhood, located in the port city of Pensacola, Florida lies in the 32504 zip code area of Escambia County. Located northeast of downtown and just east of the Pensacola Regional Airport, Bay Oaks is south of I-10 and east of I-110. Other major thoroughfares include State Route 281 to the east and US 90/State Route 291 to the west.

This upscale neighborhood is built in a hilly area that overlooks Escambia Bay. Neighborhood streets include Avenida Robledal, Avenida Real, Avenida Marina and Langley Avenue, which bisects the neighborhood. Most of the homes were built in the late 1970s. The streets feature wooded medians and loops instead of cul-de-sacs. Although there are no sidewalks, this is a pedestrian-friendly and scenic neighborhood.

At the intersection of Langley Avenue and Scenic Highway is Chimney Park, a city park of over three acres, featuring remnants of a brick chimney that was once part of a mill destroyed during the Civil War. Interesting, both Chimney Park and Bay Bluffs Park are the results of grassroots preservation efforts in the 1980s.

A 42-acre public park and nature preserve, Bay Bluffs Park is also located on Scenic Highway. Bay Bluffs features boardwalks and nature trails that descend the bluffs through canopies of oak and pine to the beachfront in Escambia Bay. The bluffs are comprised of red clay, so the beach sand is tinged a soft pink.

Things to do in nearby downtown Pensacola include visiting the National Museum of Naval Aviation, art galleries, museums, shops, restaurants and bars. The Saenger Theater hosts concerts, ballet, symphony, opera and community theater.
