Northwest Florida is best known for beautiful, white beaches. From West Pensacola and Perdido Key to Apalachicola, the water alongside these cities is breathtaking. Pensacola is the westernmost city in the Florida Panhandle, sitting on the Pensacola Bay near the Gulf of Mexico.
The Naval Air Station is located in Pensacola and is home to the Blue Angels flight demonstration team. Along with military personnel, many students call Pensacola home. The University of West Florida and Pensacola Junior College are located here.
Pensacola’s historic downtown offers outdoor concerts in Seville Park, charming brick streets, and a variety of shops and restaurants. One great place to eat is the Fish House. They are not only famous for their “Grits a Ya Ya” but for the live music and great view of Pensacola Bay.
