Sanctuary Apartments for Rent
Set in a forested area northeast of Orlando, the Sanctuary neighborhood is a quiet planned community near Oviedo in Seminole County. The region is bounded by the curving Willingham Road to the north, east, and west and East Broadway Street to the south. Residents have a 20-mile commute to downtown Orlando.
For local children, it’s a short stroll to Partin Elementary School and Lawton Chiles Middle School and a four-mile bus ride to Paul J. Hagerty High School. College students live within several miles of the University of Central Florida, the second-largest four-year university in the country. A campus of Valencia Community College is also nearby.
More than half of the neighborhood has been left as undeveloped open space. Just north of the community, the Little Big Econ State Forest is a wildlife preserve intersected by the twisting Econlockhatchee River. The park is popular for canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, picnicking, and catching a glimpse of native wildlife.
For sports, locals heads a few miles south to Riverside Park. The facility is home to an aquatics center, skate park, racquetball and tennis courts, and a kids’ playground. The Oviedo Sports Complex houses baseball, softball, and T-ball fields.
Several stores and restaurants are available off East Broadway Street. For upscale shopping, residents are not far from Oviedo Marketplace, a large mall with many retailers and eateries, and a movie theater. Other attractions include a nearby bowling alley, pool hall, laser tag center, and Girl Scout camp.
A scenic setting in a family-oriented suburban area makes the Sanctuary one of Orlando’s most sought-after neighborhoods.
