The Cape Apartments for Rent

The Cape is a large rectangular neighborhood in northeast Jacksonville, well outside the Interstate 295 beltway boundary. It’s bordered on the south by Cedar Point Road and on the west by Yellow Bluff Road. Grover Road serves as its eastern border, and it’s bordered to the north by Samples Creek. This creek border is technically within the boundaries of the Timucaun Ecological and Historical Preserve, alongside a part of Pumpkin Hill Creek Preserve Park. The Cape is in fact one of only a handful of Jacksonville neighborhoods that officially consist not only of residential and commercial areas, but also portions of a Florida state park.

Only a few residential roads at the northern end of The Cape are a part of the state park, and for those living in such areas, a few additional living restrictions are placed upon them. Having a state park as one’s neighbor is not the same thing as sharing a boundary line with a fellow citizen. The perk is that you can walk outside your door and be right at the well-manicured, picturesque park. The roads that allow such an opportunity are Cape Drive North, Egret Walk Terrace, Sunset Landing Drive, and Edwards Creek Road North.

Most of the homes in the neighborhood are single-family, detached units of varying styles, from grand Mediterranean homes to single-story, ranch-style homes to mini-mansions that have popped up in many cities in Florida. It also has attached homes of varying styles and mobile homes.
