Situated approximately five miles northwest of downtown Jacksonville, Florida, Ribault is an older residential neighborhood ideally located near local shopping, public schools, and recreational facilities. The community is bordered by Moncrief Road to the south and extends just past Ribault Scenic Drive to the north. Nearby neighborhoods include Harborview, Edgewood Manor, and Lake Forest Hills.

Located near the center of the neighborhood is Winton Drive Park. Across from the park are Sallye B. Mathis Elementary and Ribault Senior High School. Just northwest of the high school on Ribault Scenic Drive is Ribault Middle School. This area has a large concentration of single-family residences with sidewalks for convenient walking.

Ribault has a variety of churches and cemeteries located within the neighborhood. Restlawn Memorial Park is located in the northeast corner of the community and Greenwood Cemetery and Duval County Pauper Cemetery are both situated on the southern boundary. St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church is near Winton Drive Park and Higher Ground Ministries is south of Restlawn Memorial Park. First New Zion Missionary Baptist, New Spirit Full Gospel Church, Beverly Hills Church of God, and Greater Jacksonville Church are just a couple miles north of the community.

A few minutes’ drive to the northeast is Riverview Park which offers picnic and grilling areas, playground equipment, athletic fields, and fishing areas. Local residents also enjoy Jacksonville Zoo located approximately five miles to the east. Along with the various animals, the zoo offers catering, facility rentals, tours, train rides, botanical gardens, and the Jazoo’s KidZone.

Residents of Ribault have convenient shopping options near Riverview Park and to the south towards the downtown area. North of Ribault Scenic Drive on Soutel Drive are various small businesses and dining options. Specialty shops, museums, art galleries, restaurants, coffee shops, and other commerce are all available right in downtown Jacksonville.
