Popular activities at the cove include fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. The terrain is not equipped for large vessels. However, parking and ramps are available for launching small boats.

Mill Cove also has a full-service golf club. The facility is equipped with a pro shop and a restaurant. It serves golfers of all levels and offers lessons for those interested in learning the game.

The Northlake district is in proximity to an abundance of wildlife areas. Along with numerous state forests, the Timucaun Ecological and Historical Preserve is a vast domain of land on Florida’s east coast. Hiking, camping, and a wealth of other outdoor recreation opportunities are readily available to Northlake community residents.
