San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf is a family-friendly destination drawing visitors from all over the world. The wharf has a nightlife, restaurants, and tours. It is home to Ghirardelli Square and Pier 39, which offer unique merchandise and gifts.

Known as one of the most crooked streets in the United States, Lombard Street was invented in 1922 as a way to help pedestrians and drivers with the 27-degree slope. Lombard Street has eight switchbacks, which automobiles may traverse at five miles per hour. Residents and visitors may walk up the street and take advantage of the city views from the top.

The Buena Vista Cafe is a popular night spot famous for its Irish coffee. Although Irish coffee was made in Ireland during the 1940s, the cafe claims to have invented Irish coffee as one of six drinks which originated in San Francisco.

Established in 1776 by Spaniards, the Presidio has a long history as a military installation but was established as a park in 1998 and is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Hiking, bicycling, and world-class board-sailing are some of the activities offered.
