The private Oro Valley Country Club’s greens, with a traditional 18-hole, 72-par course layout can be played six days a week, all year round. National tournaments such as the Spring 2011 Annual Golf Tournament for Susan G. Koman, are held on this popular course. Three categories of membership include Golf, Intermediate, and Social, allowing members to choose their level of involvement. Multiple outdoor venues are available for family activities. The nearby 77-acre Honey Bee Canyon Park has hiking trails with water stations along the way and picnic sites. The Canada Del Oro Riverfront Park, just three miles south of Mira Vista, has special events and activities for families. This 30-acre park has a playground area, picnic tables, lighted soccer and softball fields, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, a walking path, and an equestrian path.
