Marcy-Holmes Neighborhood

The Marcy-Holmes neighborhood is a quiet riverside neighborhood that is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is a great neighborhood that has a lot of nice scenery. Besides just being on a river, there are also plenty of parks in and around the neighborhood. The various churches in the area provide a strong sense of community within the neighborhood and offer people of varied religions with many options when picking a place of worship.

Each of the many parks in the area has its own unique attractions making every park a park worth visiting. Hennepin Island Park is right by the neighborhood and is a great nature park. It has a well wooded area that is perfect for nature walks. There are also areas that are great for picnicking. One of the best parts about this park is that it is located right along the Mississippi River. There is a bridge you can walk along that goes over the river and allows for a magnificent view of a waterfall.

Another park that is close to the neighborhood is Marcy Park. This park is a small park but it is a great place to bring young children as it has a nice playground for them to enjoy. There are also some open grassy areas for a nice picnic.

The Marcy-Holmes neighborhood is very close to the University of Minnesota. This makes it easy for residents of the neighborhood to go see many different college sports games such as football, baseball, and basketball. The University of Minnesota offers many different degree programs and is a great place for people to expand their current education or just take a couple of classes for fun. The neighborhood is also in a good location for students that are looking to live off campus.
