Mann is a Seattle area neighborhood situated close to scenic Lake Washington, which is home to many of the Washington elite, including Bill Gates. The neighborhood is quite culturally diverse.

A little over a block away to the southeast of the Mann neighborhood off of Cherry Street is the Garfield Community Center. This popular community center offers a variety of teen programs that are geared to keeping children active and off of drugs and away from crime. The community center offers a technology lab with a staff who are able to assist with computer usage.

The center also has a basketball court, two tennis courts, and a baseball field that are all popular with area youth. The center also owns Medgar Evars Pool, which is popular with residents and provides many different classes for teaching swimming to children in the area. The community center is a popular destination after school and is conveniently located next to Garfield High School, making it a short walk.

Just over a mile to the west of Mann is Spectrum Dance Theater just off of Lake Washington Boulevard. This popular dance theater is part school and part performance center. The theater provides instruction on a wide variety of dance styles. The performance group is known for their ground-breaking dances that are performed throughout the year. Many Lake Washington area residents enjoy the entertaining performances offered at this location.

Located alongside the Spectrum Dance Theater is Madrona Park. The park provides a wonderful beach front with life guards on site, and it is a popular destination on warmer days for picnics and swimming. The park also has numerous trails that are enticing to area runners and cyclists. Incredible views over Lake Washington also make Madrona Park a popular location for weddings and other events.
