Forest Apartments for Rent
In 1773, Thomas Jefferson inherited 4,800 acres in Virginia, just outside Lynchburg. The property was left to him by his father-in-law, John Wayles. Jefferson built an octagonal house there in 1806 while serving as President. Today, the house is a National Historic Landmark and a house museum. The acreage was slowly reduced, divided, and sold over the years, and just 50 acres remain of the original plantation. The rest forms the subdivisions and neighborhoods that make up the community of Forest.
Forest, Virginia is a fast-growing, rural suburb of Lynchburg. It is just 10 miles south of downtown Lynchburg, and many Forest residents commute into the city for work and entertainment. But with its rolling hills and vast amounts of green space, Forest is a picturesque location to call home.
Golfers enjoy Forest’s two courses, Colonial Hills Golf Course and Poplar Forest Golf Course. For those who enjoy hiking, camping, climbing, skiing, rafting, and other outdoor adventures, the Blue Ridge Mountains will be the backyard of your new Forest apartment.
