Thompson Community is a neighborhood in southwestern San Antonio, Texas, just 10 minutes from the heart of the downtown area. It is located south of U.S. Highway 90 and west of State Highway 371 in Bexar County.

This neighborhood is host to the St. John Berchmans School, Brentwood Middle School, and Kennedy High School. Edgewood Stadium can be found here as well. Children here attend nearby Winston Elementary, within walking distance to the west.

The residential portions of Thompson Community comprise mostly well-kept single-family homes. Residents enjoy easy access to many commercial offerings, including a number of popular eateries within walking distance.

Additional landmarks on this side of the city include Lackland Air Force Base and Our Lady of the Lake College campus. More to see and do can be found just minutes from home in downtown San Antonio, host of the famous river walk area. In addition to many unique shopping, dining, and entertainment options, downtown has several major medical centers, parks, and golf courses. The Alamodome, a popular event venue and sports complex, is also located here, as is the University of Texas at San Antonio campus.
